Looking for best place to Watch Hockey in NYC? With Rangers Leafs Sunday night any chance there is a bar in NYC that will be showing the game if we don't get tickets?

I have heard of Hurleys is it worth the visit?

Also is it worth a trip by Yankees Stadium? Anything to see outside around stadium? Thanks

Yes! Go to The Blue Moon Cafe
1444 1st Avenue...it is known throughout NYC as NYC's "Hockey Bar"
I should know ...I own it! We've even had a Hittin' The Note Party there !

Do you Show only Rangers games at this bar, or are all the games on tv there?
I'm a Rangers fan, but come playoff time i would prefer to watch the rest of the league also, and its more fun to watch the games in a bar as opposed to my living room.

Now that is service. Ask a question and an owner is the first to respond. Impressive.

Do you provide kleenex for crying Leaf fans?

Just kidding. You know I want the Leafs in that 8 spot so they can meet Buffalo in the playoffs. I have bills to pay.

The people backing the Sabres will increase after the first round. All those NYR fans will have to cheer for someone.

You're right,I figure we can make some noise in a few games, but eventually go down in the first round. If we make it out of the first round all of NYC will be shocked!

Blue harley- I,ve been to the Blue Moon many many times...great times and memories..I am currently coaching a pee wee travel team up in the hudson valley and will be coming down to nyc this sat for the ABB concert. I am 51 and my first ABB concert was 11/25/71 at carnegie hall- just weeks after Duane passed away.

I used to talk to George McPhee quite a bit- my name is Dan and hopefully I will see you this sat at the blue moon for the flyers game wrap up after the concert (and before for that matter!)

take care

Hey Bro Dan:
My name is Carlos...I was partners w/ George,Gresch, and James from '89 through '98. As the boys retired and or got traded they sold back to me and some other former partners. I am now the sole owner and have continued our long hockey tradition. I play three times a week and see no end in sight ! I will be at the show on Friday night, unfortunatley will not make Saturday,I have to work all day and night at "The Moon"

Yankee Stadium is in The South Bronx, unless there is a Yankee game it is very quiet. The only thing to see perhaps is the construction going on of the new stadium.
Not the greatest area to be wandering around in either.

Hey Leafs Fan:
Did you make it to MSG? I saw Otiel there! He was one section below me! Too funny. They were playing Revival through the P.A. and all of a sudden there is Oteil!
