While they all are great, Patsy's and/or Una pizza Napoleatano top my list, the latter being authentic down to the double zero flour imported from Naples

those who are in " the know"
know that new haven,ct. pizza is some of the country's best.
it's very thin and brick oven fired pizza.
my favorites:
1. BAR / Bru room ,fantastic pizza and they have a damn good stout brewed on the premises. cool place as well.
2. Sally's, probably the best around, great tomato sauce, but the wait and atmosphere are less than ideal
3. Modern apizza, very good, wtih a great staff
4. Pepe's pizza, good, but very well known and the lines are waaay too long.

I've been told by someone 'in the know' to try John's of Bleeker Street for the best slice in the city.

Yes, awsome pizza, but be prepared to wait. Small place with a huge demand. They pack em in there but its soooooo worth it!!!

Your so right about Rays, the slices look like they are on steroids *lol*

Ive been to Patsy's and I can say that Patsy's is awsomeeeeeee!! The atmosphere is great, the food is great. Ive never been to Grimaldi's, but I recently seen it advertised on a cooking show I watch called Everyday Italian, Giada's Weekend Getaways. Im definitely going to try it. Patsy's is a brick oven pizza as is Johns, and Grimaldi's is an oven with coal inside. So the heated coals actually cook the pizza. I think its just around the corner from Patsy's too.
