Howdy Jhawkers - just stopping in to get my morning dose of sunshine from you kind folks.

Yep, Eileen - I can taste the corona and tequila now!

Y'all have a great day. Wish me luck! I have a job interview today.
LUCKLUCKLUCK, Mitzi!!! You go on that interview (if they're looking for personality plus you've already got the job!)

quote:
Just put in for a job in Tx. Watch out Mitzi here I come!
You go too, Eric - good luck with the job! Should we be contacting the authorities what with you and Mitzi possibly living in the same state??? LOL Hope things work out well for you here, my friend - that's an awfully long commute on the weekends!

quote:
Dire Straits is waaaaay underappreciated in a lot of circles, but they remain one of my contemporary favorites ...Alchemy is fantastic, the Romeo and Juliet on there is epic.
Eric and Linnie - most definitely on Dire Straits!!! They are one of my all-time favorites - believe I have most of their CD's and Alchemy gets a lot of play in my house.

By the way, this Friday, March 9, is "Get Over it Day", www.getoverit.com, just in case you need an excuse
budha - thanks for the information...hmmm...I have someone I need to email now Oh wait - this is an art auction site...never mind (still good info to have)

Welcome home, rainy - hope you and the hubby were able to enjoy a wonderful Naples vacation (and from the look of susea's pics, looks like a great place to be)

quote:
i don't tend to panic about these episodes since i'm conditioned to get better
Dad - hope today finds you feeling better. I think this sentiment you displayed says a lot for the power you hold inside for healing...just hate knowing you have to deal with this and wish you all the best.

susea - just to let you know ... more big smiles this morning listening to Susan at Berklee as I was making my commute - thanks for helping my day start out well!

Tyler and Debi - thinking of you and hoping things going well for your family (health to you all and no more visits from drunken idiots!)

a 3K mortgage? wow, you musta been pretty stoned when you signed for that one....
LMAO - Linnie you crack me up.

Hello all.

Mitzi,Good Luck!!!

Deb,I'm laying even money you go for a second pie.

Don,Tatum Bell would probably make a good tandem with Brandon Jacobs.Hasn't shown he can carry the load by himself yet and has a problem with fumbling, but then so did Tiki Barber and the Giants coaching staff fixed that. That's one Broncos fan's opinion. We'll see what Jack thinks.

Good vibes to everyone in JHawke land.

Hey Gang, hows everyone doing?

Eric, Thanks for the help with the vines and stuff. I will do one sometime soon.

Dire Straits are an awesome band. Mark is one of the best guitarists living. I love the solo on Sultans, the finger picking is amazing.

Waving To Everybody Else (I can possibly name you all) hope everyone has a good day

Matt

LMAO - ok this is making much more sense when I use the correct web address and I am positive this will come in handy on many different levels (I like that they have special packages for the office, the bar, general).

Uh oh - that good, huh? Wonder if I can fit a pizza box in my big purse?

Eric and Eileen - ouch on the 3k mortgages! I think it's probably quite a bit cheaper living here in the midwest and as an empty nester I don't need a lot of room so I'm pretty lucky with low house payments and taxes. My main goal - pay it off in next 5 years and retire!!! (maybe I'll get me a pull behind trailer and go from concert to concert selling grilled cheese sandwiches...)

Dre Bly apparently does not like the trade to Denver, so we will see what happens there. bell is fast and can make a great cut. His only problems in Denver related to injuries/endurance, so a lot depends on whether he gets dinged up. The Broncos signed Dan Graham as a free agent TE also.

Budha, Eileen and any other newer friends to the diary. We are a prolific lot for a couple of reasons-we are more family oriented then some other thread cliques so we have a lot of family news. We even have our own teen (Matt) and a few grandparent types like me. Since Tyler started the different diaries (he starts a new one periodically because they get so long, so fast) with telling his health story, everyone is welcome here to tell their own stories. A couple of us even have psych backgrounds, and we all seem to understand the value of a place where we can tell our stories ie, vent a little-after all, people pay a lot of money to tell their stories on strange couches, so this works also. So, don't ever let our prolific nature to keep you away for any period of time.

I would like to see if any of you have seen the movie Crash. The movie is phenominal. The second scene here the little girl asks her father in the begining of the movie to be home because she is afraid. He works a lot and says he will give her a magic cloak to protect her. A group of spanish people rob the guy with the gun and he goes after the father in this scene, listen to the girl at the end. I know I butchered the story but please see the movie. Sooooo good.

Trailer

N1TRW, I completely agree with you about Crash. I'ts a great movie. I love the thread about the locksmith and his daughter, too. It's one of the very few movies that everyone in my family likes and is interesting enough to actually discuss.

rainy - I saw your comment - Thanks! YOU are the sweetie! I think the kindness that comes through in your posts really speaks to the heart of this little home Tyler has built for us.

quote:
Tonite we are going to the Eric/Derek concert. I've been waiting for months!
Jack - you lucky dog!!! Please report back! I'm kind of kicking myself for missing the opportunity to catch this show this year (but believe Mr Bond, James Bond is going to help me out with this from an auditory standpoint!) Enjoy the show, Jack - glad you are getting a chance to experience this!

quote:
I would like to see if any of you have seen the movie Crash.
Eric - yes I did see Crash and loved it! It is just such a moving film. What I really appreciated was that with all of the stories which were being covered it still had good character development and retained it's heart. One of the better movies I've seen and I think it definitely deserved all of the accolades it received.

Jack and rainy - I know just what you mean about missing out on the doggie talk! Lola really listens hard when I speak (she loves being talked to) but many times she'll attempt to 'speak' to me but it's through a stare or something ... I don't know - something about the look she gets in her eyes tells me that she's communicating to me but I'm not always sure what it is.

Budha and Eileen ... listen to Dr. Jack. One of the sweet pleasures of this particular thread that Tyler has so graciously started for us is that it gives those of us in here a forum for getting to know each other as more than ABB fans. Welcome and please feel free to hang here (that's what Tyler's kingdom is for).
