Thought some of you may appreciate this site...Ioannis did the artwork for the "Back Where It All Begins" album and also did a nice DTB concert poster last year...

"Early in 1994 through a contact by an acquaintance I got a call by Bert Hollman manager of the Allman Brothers, they needed a record cover quickly as the spring tour was starting and their album release was very close to being done. He basically described one of the concepts they had, and faxed me a sketch ''Just take the mushroom to the next level man" he said.'' and can you have it by Monday?'' I decided to fully create a miniature cover, actually doing a miniature painting so the band would totally understand the concept. I sent the artwork off and waited. I received a call a few days letter with an enthusiastic "Looks great! Send it to the record company!'' from Bert. I quickly explained that this was only a comp ,and that I needed time to do the actual painting. A week later I made the trek to Boston where the band was rehearsing and delivered the final art. They loved it! The art proved to be quite successful and was reproduced as t-shirts ,stickers, stage designs, posters, tattoos, and finally a limited edition poster authorized by the band and I."

Thanks! Too bad no one was there to tape the Danbury show. I would give a limb for it! Derek was in a ZONE! The interaction he had with the band was amazing and was having fun. Not to mention the 18 second string change! That's fast
