Buy the paper-sleeves separtely, for something like $5-$10 for a 50 pack. They're priced the same at all the office supply stores (Staples, Officemax, Office Depot, etc.).

For CDs, check out this web-site: http://www.salescircular.com. Pick your state, then click the "Blank CD-R Discs" link down in the "Supplies" section. The web-site will show you all the best deals at your local brick 'n' mortar stores. Don't bother purchasing online, b/c discs weigh so much relative to their cost that any savings is lost in shipping charges. Obviously, if you live 50 miles from the nearest Best Buy, then perhaps buying online will work better for you.

And lastly, stick to discs made by FujiFilm or TDK. . .preferably manufactured in Japan. Stay away from Memorex and Maxell, and never buy generics (store-brand, PNY, etc.).

FWIW, Best Buy is currently selling a 50-pk of Fuji discs for $14. Sale ends July 24th.

I'm off to Best Buy..... I have bought the 50 packs of the TDK CDR's but could not find the paper sleeves for singles and doubles. I always see the plastic slim cases.
THANK YOU !!!

If you are a member or know a member of the Sams Club. I get a box of 250 paper sleeves for about $11 there

That's good advice about looking for Fujis or TDKs...Sony discs seem to work fine too. If you happen to belong to a warehouse club like BJ's they have good deals, that's where I get mine. But if not like the others say I don't think you can beat Best Buy.

And VERY important - see if the person you are sending discs to has a computer CD copier or a "stand alone" type that is part of a stereo system. Stand alones require the use of "music only" or "all purpose" blanks, all but the real high end ones from what I understand. But whoever you are sending discs to should know to tell you that if he has a stand alone - I know cuase that's what I have, it works great but I STILL get the wronf type of blanks on occasion.
