Any details known yet? Thinkin' about coming down with a couple of the brothers.

BigDaveOnBass - 7/19/2010 at 07:42 PM

JP, hope we can make a formal announcement on the Friday and Saturday headliners soon. Rumor is they have verbally committed, but the formal agreements need to be signed. You will NOT be disappointed!

BigDaveOnBass - 7/20/2010 at 11:18 PM

OK, I have some information I can release on this year's GABBAfest.

With 99% certainty, it will be held again at The Cox Capitol Theater. The last couple GABBAfests have been held at the Cox, and the Cox crew always does a fabulous job.

Friday night, September 17, Established Unknown , featuring Pedro Arevalo, Jack Kirkner, Thorson Moore and Garrett Dawson, will open with their Siesta Key flavored music. The headliner is not in the bag yet, but if it's who we have been negotiating with, they are a Grammy nominated guitarist who was heavily influenced by Duane Allman. (That should be easy to figure out.)

Saturday night, September 18, the sensational Lingo from Kennesaw, GA will open the evening festivities. Alligator Records recording artist and HTW favorite, Tinsley Ellis, will be shaking the rafters of the Cox with his blues fused rock (or is it rock fused blues??)

Make your travel plans, book your motel rooms, get ready to rock Macon the weekend of September 17-19!

(All information posted is subject to change, but not terribly likely.)
