Does anyone here remember the '79 tour?...If memory serves me correctly there was a harp player named Jim Essery who toured with the Bros. Also a pretty good player.

Jim Essery did play with ABB around that time. He is still gigging in clubs around St Augustine and has at least one CD. I was playing in the New Neighborhood Tavern with my band "Bad Image" and Jim Essery came in and played harp and sang a couple ABB songs with us, this was back around 2001. Very cool guy. An interesting anecdote about when Jim came in and played with us at The Neighborhood in JAX:
We took a break and I went over to Jim to show him my bass (i hadn't met him before) I showed him the ABB mushroom that someguy airbrushed on my guitar at another gig in JAX when I was DRUNK.!! I told jim it was like waking up with and a hangover and an unexplained tattoo....it was at that point he pulled up his pant leg to show me his mushroom tattoo from his ABB days,..... a classic moment.
