Who do you want to guest with the ABB during the beacon run and the summer tour?
the dudes from North Mississippi Allstars
If I think of more I'll probably post them.

Marley - 1/15/2004 at 12:39 PM
The top two guys you mentioned, and Karl Denson.
nyc_barb - 1/15/2004 at 02:53 PM
Sonny Landreth. He sat in with Mule when he opened for them at the Beacon in December. Love to see him with the Brothers! The more slide, the better!
hotfoot28 - 1/15/2004 at 10:39 PM
I'm glad someone brought this up. I was riding down the road the other day listening to my radio (yes, I know that is kind of weak but my tape player is broke) and I heard the local classic rock station playing "Jessica." Chuck Leavell was just tearing it up on the piano. It would be awesome for Mr. Leavell to come back. I remember seeing the Brothers back in '01 when Chuck came out to play. I think it was in Atlanta. It brought back old, good times. They should at least bring him out at the Beacon.

PhillyBob is right (and Chuck did turn up in Atlanta on 8/5/01). Chuck made for some real magic at the Beacon three years ago, and it'd be great to see some more of that.
zorich - 2/3/2004 at 03:48 AM
Karl, Jack, and Jimmy. thats all I ask.

PeachForPeace89 - 2/6/2004 at 02:08 AM
I really think Jimmy Herring would be really sweet on Desdemona, Rockin' Horse, and Instrumental Illness. sonny Landreth should guest on Statesboro Blues. If they jammed that it'd be pretty interesting seeing Derek, Warren, and Sonny trade off slide licks.
Soulshine99 - 2/6/2004 at 02:25 AM
Chuck Leavell! I can hear "Jessica" already!
A nice horn section for an insane "Southbound" would be nice too!
Smattermonnat - 2/17/2004 at 07:11 PM
I miss the Beep Banana Blackout horns from a few years ago.
UNCLEJON75 - 2/19/2004 at 12:21 AM
Johnny Neal would be cool too! I would like to hear what David Grisman could had to Melissa and Old Before My Time!!! Or, how 'bout the Dirty Dozen Brass Band horns sittin' in with the Brothers on the Same Thing or Southbound!?!
bluefox - 2/22/2004 at 11:27 PM

Jimmy Herring on Southbound (VA Beach '01 was unreal)
No horns please
ABBstillrockin04 - 9/12/2004 at 12:46 AM
and Karl Denson on a few songs, especially Instrumental Illness. Hell we need frank zappa to get his whole orchestra on that song.
StandingBack70 - 11/6/2004 at 03:14 AM
Rob Baracco (sing too??)
C-Bizzinator - 3/26/2005 at 12:28 AM
Can you imagine robert randolph playing his pedal steel on Statesboro? That would just be unreal.

Southside Johnny and the Asbuury Jukes Horn Section. They were great last year at the beacon.
paulzavodnyik - 2/2/2008 at 09:03 PM
Susan Tedeschi, Bob Weir, Phil Lesch, Robert Randolph, Chuck Leavell, Steve Winwood, Eric Clapton. Obviously some of my picks aren't very realistic but this is a wish list.
paulzavodnyik - 2/2/2008 at 09:05 PM
I'd add Rebirth Brass Band and Bonnerama as well.
Alwar - 4/26/2008 at 12:24 PM
And maybe just for the sake of "where it all began"
invite Elmore James Junior as an honorary guest for the memory of his daddy.
40th anniversary in '09 at the Beacon.

Ron Holloway is always welcome. He and Jackie Pearson (filling in for Warren), were great at Pine Knob a few years ago!
ad3three - 7/1/2008 at 04:51 AM
How about old Jack Black. I saw the pick of destiney him and that Kyle guy can play.
But seriously how about Jeff Beck I could see him adding something to Mountain Jam.
jdorman60 - 9/10/2008 at 02:21 AM
Dickey. There I said it.
