Thread: Bonnaroo

Hey Butch, I was just wondering why the ABB or the DTB weren't at Bonnaroo?
Of all the big jam bands that I know of, you guys were the only ones not there. I saw T.B.A. for a while on the tour dates for that weekend. Are you planning on being there next year? If The Other Ones go on tour later this year, it could be one hell of a good time for the ABB and The Other Ones to play there next year. It would be nice for the young ones to see something like what we've only read about.

We were actuallt talking to the promoters about playing it but they sold so many tickets so fast they felt that they didn't need us. Guess they didn't. Wish we could have been there. Maybe we'll do some similar things next year. Hope so.

Personally, I understand why you guys didn't. You would have had to sacrifice top billing to Widespread Panic. I always enjoy the Allman Brothers more at a private show than at a festival, but i think it would be a good publicity move to play a festival or two next year and introduce some newbies to the Allman Brothers sound. There are alot of people out there who associate the Allman Brothers with Rambling Man and Midnight Rider and nothing else.
