Thread: Jack's guitar tuning with the Allman's?

I don't know if this has been posted prior. Was Jack playing slide in standard tunning when he played electric for the Allman's? Does anyone know what kind of pick ups were in his main strat?

The best way to find out is to send an e-mail with the question to Jack@Jackpearson.com He will answer back, but it may take him a few days. I can tell you that the Strat was/is a G$L Silver Legacy, but I'm not sure what he had in at that time.

I think he played in standard tuning with the ABB and I don't really remember him ever switching guitars or anything during the show.

he also used those dual rails or whatever in his G&L that are essentially a humbucker in a single coil sized casing.

hot damn he was awesome in the ABB. Was lucky enough to see a few great Jack Pearson shows. And I miss having Dimples in the setlist...

Jack plays a G&L legacy guitar and uses Seymore Duncan pickups Flat wound strings, and a Tube screamer and i do believe he plays in standard tuning except on" sailing across the devils sea"
