Thread: rook's tenure

I didn't think this version of the band extended into 1983. Wasn't their last gig early in 1982 on Saturday Night Live? Just nitpicking -- sort of messing around on the new site, it's quite nice -- don't see This Day in ABB History though, and it's sort of sad to not be able to look at all those Duane pictures that Donnah posted. I'm sure they're around somewhere

I don't know about that but if you read this David (aka Rook), and are in the area for Dickey's BB Show, I got to ask you something, in person. Now I'm thinkin' about it.

The ABBbase calendar lists the January 23rd, 1982 performance of Midnight Rider and Leavin' on Saturday Night Live as the ABB's last show until 1986. Peace. --Marley

good lookin out marley that was the end of the abb for 4 years and the begining of the gregg allman band featuring danny toler.i had a hard time with that incarnation of the abb without jaimo there.always thought it funny that when dickey was let go their was a huge uproar about how it could ne be the brothers without dickey....dickey was not the first brother shown the door it swung both ways then who knows maybe it will again.
