Thread: Gov't Mule Covers List Project

april81972 - 10/22/2013 at 06:35 PM

Here's a list of songs Gov't Mule has covered with the original artists named. I like doing this because typically it'll turn me on to an artist/band I've never listened to. I'm making a playlist of all of these songs.

The excellent MuleBase helped tremendously with this project. In some cases, I've put a couple version of the songs as I'm not sure which one was referred to when learning to play it. Quite an extensive list. I'd like to ask the community here if there are any glaring omissions, mistakes, edits, whatever to make this list more accurate. Thanks for any help.

Is there a well known artist who has played more songs than Warren ? I doubt it.

Cover List Project: 385
The Dead: 150
ABB 100
Mule Originals 80
Phil & Friends ??
Guesting with Panic, DMB, etc. ?

I think it was in 2008 that I estimated he played 500 different songs that year. That included Mule, Dead, ABB.

And he gets them right too. I have seen Bob Weir screw up Truckin' more than I have seen Warren mess up.

Amazing....

"the singer's pretending
that this song's for me"
