You can have cameras as long as the lenses aren't detachable.
Also, no flash.

Not entirely true. You can bring in a DSLR but you are not supposed to use it during the show. Meaning you can take pictures of the theater and before the band comes on.

I used my Canon T3i in March with a 250mm lens and got some great shots. No one said anything until I was standing on the side of the Loge then a security guard said "if you don't have a press pass you aren't supposed to be using those". So I put it away.

Security is more concerned about smoking and drunk people than cameras. Just don't use a flash.

I'd agree. Security has been very SLR wary during many shows lately there without a band photo pass

It really depends on the artist. I have never had an issue at an ABB show, but it changes.

At the TTB shows recently they were nuts. A guard even stopped people shooting brief video on phones. Although frankly that can be annoying if you hold up a phone in front of someone

They definitely didn't bother me at TTB. In fact, they let me up to the stage to take pics.

kcijones001 - 10/21/2014 at 09:02 PM

BUT videos were prohibited.

kmoney2 - 10/22/2014 at 03:16 PM

security def doesnt give you too much of a search at the beacon. Ive brought my DSLR in for years......just gotta kinda hide the big lens and just dont go overboard and take 2000 pics during the course of the night. The more you draw attention to yourself, the more of a chance that security will tell you to put it away.

I know my Beacon policies.
