Thread: What song are you hoping to hear?

newjerseymike - 10/19/2014 at 06:01 PM

If you are lucky enough to be going to one or more of the remaining ABB shows at the Beacon (I'm going on Tues, 10/22), what song, above all others, do you want to hear?

I would love to hear Statesboro Blues one last time. First heard them do it a few weeks after Duane died and many times after that. I don't care who is playing slide, since i know they trade off.. It'll be a great send-off for my last show.

Hoping to hear You Don't Love Me and Woman Across The river one more time.

I have 3 chances.

pirlo21 - 10/21/2014 at 06:25 PM

Most want to hear the songs they never play anymore - Nobody Knows and Back Where it All Begins. Other than that, want to hear Dreams with Derek on slide one last time.

larzv - 10/21/2014 at 10:34 PM

i want to hear because i got high remix from afroman.

jim - 10/22/2014 at 01:35 AM

Cant Take It With You and Done Somebody Wrong and True Gravity and whatever the hell they choose to play this Friday night when I am there.

nebish - 10/22/2014 at 02:15 AM

I will genuinely be happy with whatever it is. Especially since there are no guests, I'm quite sure I will be happy with anything they want to play when I see them 27th and 28th. I know one thing, when Little Martha comes on and the lights come up I will be emotional.

would love to hear blue sky (if dickey betts were to make an appearance, even better....but NOT holding my breath for that one)... other than that, seven turns, and of coarse statesboro.

swangdb - 10/24/2014 at 12:25 PM

High Falls.

Yes, I know I'm dreaming.

jwelfeld - 10/24/2014 at 04:08 PM

I'D yell WIPPING POST but that seems counter productive, how about In da gadda da vida...

vteye - 10/24/2014 at 05:48 PM

You don't love me, Done Somebody wrong, Don't keep me Wondering and anything off Brothers & Sisters. I am hoping show ends with Whipping Post, Jessica, or Dreams.

Dickie singing Rambling - too much to ask for...

melissa - 10/24/2014 at 06:41 PM

High Falls

cmgst34 - 10/25/2014 at 12:57 PM

Do it!!!!

LeglizHemp - 10/25/2014 at 01:23 PM

i would almost bet that they play Layla on the final night.

BillyBlastoff - 10/25/2014 at 02:04 PM

Kansas City.

I saw the Grateful Dead play it after the Royals won in '85. It was the only time the Grateful Dead played the song.

Even one verse by ABB in a similar circumstance would make me laugh out loud.

LeglizHemp - 10/25/2014 at 04:10 PM

yup. those are the kinds of surprises i expect.

ABB-NYG - 10/25/2014 at 08:07 PM

I'm still waiting on...
Every Hungry Woman
Please Call Home
Stormy Monday
Les Brers
Little Martha
Wasted Words
Can't Lose What You Never Had
End of the Line
Sailin Cross the Devil's Sea
High Cost of Low Living
Old Before My Time
Old Friend

I was lucky enough to here little Martha @the peach. Brought a tear to my eye....then they played that's what love will do..then a sick Black Hearted Woman.
Ive been fortunate to hear Dreams, Whipping post ... I witnessed the first three albums... This summer and cannot complain. Yes ,Gregg missed a couple of words but it didn't matter I was there to say good bye and thanks. In my eyes and ears they are THE BEST DAMN BAND IN THE WORLD. and know other bands CANNOT hang with them musically and spiritually.
That's what the ABB are to me a spiritual event.
and Wish I could be @ the beacon but I can't.
If I was then I would wanna hear Instrumental Illness . as a last call.
