He created an empire, changed world and American culture, still maintained an image of an intellectual who was just sharing his idea of portraying beautiful woman for people to admire and fantasize about. The magazine had excellent interviews, which balanced out the other aspects of the show and tell part of it. He never allowed it to digress to hard core porno, keeping it socially acceptable, almost as an art form, the way others would look at nude paintings in a museum.
He created an iconic life doing something that he truly loved. The world will have to see how his son carries on the enterprise. As for him, he bought the mausoleum drawer next to Marilyn Monroe, he even planned for that. What a life!
