He deserved the jail time. It is, however, going to be very difficult to ensure his safety. Can't think of a bigger target.

I don't think the time will make him change his mind or his ways. There are reasons why he did the things that he did, how will jail time change that? It is a waste of time, a drain on the taxpayers. What should be done with people like him? Therapy, he needs appropriate specialized counseling and he will not get that in prison. He needs a pricey Central Park West or Upper Fifth Avenue therapist who understands his disorder, a prison doc will not have that knowledge.

It is also hypocritical because many other politicians are doing the same thing he did, yet they continue to go to work every day at taxpayers expense. Eliot Spitzer is an example.

Couldn't agree more! He could probably use a little "counseling" from the other inmates as well.
