Trump has attacked congress for imposing sanctions on Russia, and thanked Russia for imposing sanctions on the United States.

That earthquake in California must be the results on Ronald Reagan rolling in his grave.

On top of that, the military option is on the table for Venezuela.

It won't go well if we do that. Even Iran is already commenting on our contemplated intervening/interference in Venezuela.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman says the time for using military threats and pressure against independent countries as a weapon has come to an end. “As global experience and contemporary political history have proved, the time for using military threats and pressure as a weapon against independent countries in order to force them to accept irrational and illegitimate demands is over,” Bahram Qassemi said on Sunday.

He strongly condemned the recent “provocative and meddlesome” remarks by US President Donald Trump about domestic developments in Venezuela and his suggestion of using the “military option” to resolve the country’s political crisis.

Qassemi expressed Iran's opposition to any foreign intervention in Venezuela’s internal affairs and stressed the importance of respecting the sovereignty and independence of countries in line with international law.

“We have many options for Venezuela and by the way, I’m not going to rule out a military option,” the US president said, adding, “A military operation is certainly something that we could pursue.”

Venezuela’s Defense Minister General Vladimir Padrino later on Friday denounced Trump’s “crazy” threat of military action amid escalating bilateral tensions over what Caracas views as Washington’s meddling in the Latin American country’s political crisis.

“This is an act of craziness, an act of supreme extremism,” Padrino said in an interview with the state television.

The United States imposed sanctions against 13 current and former Venezuelan officials after doing the same to the country’s vice president in February. The US Treasury Department later froze Maduro’s US assets and called him a “dictator” for pushing ahead with the election.

REMARKS: If we are truly going to implement an America First, that also means we have to have a Hands Off Policy on other nations. "NOT OUR PROBLEM" needs to become our creed for dealing with other nations, America First means we concentrate on things going on here. Venezuela is not bothering us, has not attacked us or threatened to do so, there for it's NOT OUR PROBLEM. Unless of course we want to piss off Iran and other nations and have them retaliate against us. Not a smart move, not good foreign policy.

Nothing but an attempt to draw attention away from his criminal acts.

Iran has nothing to do with Venezuela. Iran is not a major player on the world stage.

gina - 8/13/2017 at 08:27 PM

If Iran is not a player on the world stage, then we should not fear them developing nuclear weapons, since all the rest of the players, like Russia, China, India are years ahead of them.

While we are busy worrying about North Korea and their possibly nuking Japan and Guam, and we must protect those places, Japan is making deals with Iran for trade deals. So we have sanctioned iran, but they still do deals with our allied partners. Isn't that retarded foreign policy? Iran also sells oil to Russia. The bottom line is, the rest of the world is being friendly and making alliances with each other while we are threatening all these nations.

I do not agree with ALL of his policies. Recently it was reported he was in favor of taking the mineral resources in Afghanistan. Prior to becoming President, he had made statements that we should go to the Middle East and take the oil and keep it. I do not agree with that either. The major difference between him and Hillary was he was not in favor of implementing the New World Order. I do not want a one world government because I know who will end up heading that up and I don't want to be under that regime. Recently though there has been the issue of Soros and his links to the Democrats and the Republicans, I need to investigate that more.

Seems to me the one who wants to create a one world government is Putin, not Soros.
