Let's hope that's not GNR's Paradise City. And back to back nights with Mtn Jam? And Ramblin Man? Odd setlist if accurate.

TheBigShow - 3/11/2009 at 05:52 AM

lol, so I am just joshin' you man, but a G&R cover would be funny

Ha! I would not, however, be surprised. It has Warren's influence all over it, especially after what he did to the Dead back in '04. Some of the covers he brings to bands outside of the Mule just leave me scratching my head.

steadyhorse - 3/11/2009 at 06:45 AM

Here's the set list from 3.10.09. It's as close as I could remember, the order isn't correct.

Ain't Wasting Time No More
Les Brers In A Minor
Don't Want You No More
Done Somebody Wrong
Melissa
And It Stoned Me
Red House w/Johnny Winter
You Don't Love Me w/Johnny Winter
Highway 61 w/Johnny Winter
Don't Keep Me Wondering
Revival
Stand Back
Good Morning Litte School Girl w/Lefty from Los Lobos and Dave?
No One To Run With
Instrumental that sounded like and intro to Hoochie Coochie Man
One Way Out w/Lefty from Los Lobos and Dave?

Great show, I thought I was going to see Dave Mason guest but I'm just as happy with Johnny Winter. To me every song was special the way it was played tonight.

nitelite51 - 3/11/2009 at 07:32 AM

Cesar Rosas (lefty) and David Hidalgo from Los Lobos.

tburg_mike - 3/11/2009 at 07:47 AM

lovin the phony set list. hysterical.

BigDaveOnBass - 3/11/2009 at 11:52 AM

Man, I was fit to be tied last night. I tried and tried to log in (when the sight was apparently up) and it wouldn't take my log in info. Meanwhile, others were posting show comments. I felt so....left out.

Great show, from what I saw of it. I logged into Moogis after intermission. I'll have to catch the first half of the show later. Meanwhile, I noticed the sound was MUCH better tonight, as far as mix and balance of instruments. Good job Moogis fellas behind the scenes!

Dorothyann - 3/11/2009 at 12:39 PM

My oh my oh my! What a show!

We just had a wonderful time!

The night began w/Laura, my sister Mary Kay, my friend Stumpy and myself having a wee bit of a party on the train in from Jerz. Next stop - a slice and a REALLY REALLY TALL BOY beer for the subway ride (in a paper bag of course) at Penn. Well we hopped on the subway, and being the good Jerz people that we are, we might have been a tad loud and having fun....NEXT THING we know two cops come up and say you can't drink on the subway....we whipped out ID's, PBA cards and the like - they pull us OFF THE TRAIN, proceed to ask me if the PBA cards were fake and when did I make them! The noive! Said they don't work here this is New York....anywho we had to throw the beer out (we each had one - and I swear my first time brown bagging it - lol)....but what pissed us off was he had hardly DRANK any of it!

Needless to say, it is always some kind of kaflama when the likes of Laura and I get together!

We hooked up w/Dave (Illness), and Bill not Bob, Walter and his brother in law (sorry can't remember his name)....

A grand time had by all - Johhny Winter was smoking - the lads all looked like they were having a ball - and Gregg's voice has never been better. I dunno how Derek can just keep improving - he just mesmorizes me with his talent.

Off to Moogis during work now!

PS - I'm REALLY TIRED!

stevechild - 3/11/2009 at 12:50 PM

It started off very well... Gregg's voice has been the best part so far for me... Les Brers was fantastic.

I think the show went off the rails a bit when Johny Winter came out... I'm sorry but he was not in sinc with the band...

The Los Lobos guys were good.

No1ToRunWith - 3/11/2009 at 01:44 PM

Moogis chat has not crashed in two days. According to ADMIN over 2,000 people were streaming the video on the 1st night. Most likely more last night and no problems. Head over to the Chat and enjoy the party

Thanks for the setlist and reviews.

Unfortunately Johnny is not what he once was.

Crazy B&T crew coming into my city causing trouble! (B&T = bridge and Tunnel, anyone outside of Manhatten)

You CAN drink on the Long Island Rail Road and Jersey Transit I guess, but never on the subway, you're luckey they didn't give you a ticket, I would have... Don't brown bag, just buy one of those small bottles of boose to hide better

Could not agree with you more. I'm a huge Mule & Warren/ABB fan but when he gets on stage with The Dead, it's not what it's supposed to be. P&F w/Warren was much better. Must be something about Bobby (Mary?). Sooooooo, we're skipping The Dead and bought an extra night of ABB in lieu. Methinks a fine trade.
