Thread: Happy Spring!!!!!!!!

Chicagofan - 3/20/2008 at 01:28 PM

It's been a rough winter here in Chicago. Not bad today but 9 inches of snow predicted for tomorrow. This morning the birds were singing. Won't be long till everything is new again. Flowers, trees, sunshine. Has spring sprung where you are???????

It's been the same here in Iowa. We have had the 5th snowiest winter on record. Also lots of really cold weather and lots of ice. Spring is here today. Supposed to be 50 and sunny later today - we've really earned it. But tonight and tomorrow are supposed to suck - 5 - 10 inches of snow, or maybe mixed precip - Ugh! Good luck in Chicago

I can sure use a Wanee break, Susea. Looking forward to seeing everyone. Hopefully we'll get some sweet weather to tide me over till it arriives here.

Alright, the day in which I get to try to stand an egg on its end .

You can get an egg to stand on end anyday of the year, actually...

I will agree this winter in Chicago has been brutal. 2 weeks ago (on Wed) I slipped on ice while carrying my daughter (don't worry she is fine!) and broke my foot. I was already ready for spring at that time. I am more ready for it now. Cast and crutches suck, I'm already getting a little depressed from being so helpless. Then I heard we're going to get 3-6" of snow on Friday. And now Chicagofan says 9"! Oh man, getting around is hard enough!
