Thread: Bill Levenson working on new ABB project

allbrosca - 12/21/2017 at 10:00 PM

Bill Levenson posted on his FB page a few days ago that he is working on a new ABB project in Athens GA. If I am not mistaken, he was involved in the Fillmore, Skydog and Dreams box sets and the Brothers and Sisters and Idlewild South deluxe editions. Could this be the long awaited Fillmore West shows?

Bill's work has always been top notch. Really look forward to whatever his current outing might be.

The Jan.1971 Fillmore West shows have been ready for years.... maybe there's something new?? Sure hope so!!

Hopefully, he doesn't compress the heck out of the recordings, as has sadly been the case with recent ABB releases.

the complete set from the 72 mar y sol festival would be nice. the 5 man band was a good one for sure.

Anything will be gravy at this point to me!

A really nice show (or compilation from a run of shows) from 1979 is a piece missing in the chronology of this band. 1979 was a good year for the band.

Another hole is a good release from the Jack Pearson era. Give Jack the same treatment as the Play All Night set from a few years ago.

I also realize that there is significantly more interest in the 1970-1973 era of live shows so Bill is probably working on something from then.

I think that Universal has the rights to the 1969 to 1979 era. Hotlanta, I too would like to see a show from the '79 Enlightened Rogues tour.
