I'd say that's a bit caustic. Here's one that looks at both sides of the story:

http://www.twincities.com/2017/09/29/was-playboys-hugh-hefner-oppressor-or- liberator-women-debate-his-legacy/

I would add this for those who say that Hefner "objectified" women: That very concept, to me, is much more degrading to women than it is to Hugh Hefner. What are they saying? Any woman who dressed up as a Playboy bunny or posed nude as a centerfold was too stupid to make her own decisions? Really now...........was Hefner or anyone else forcing those roles on them, or did they do it of their own free will?

I read that he is going to be put next to Marilyn Monroe. They were both born in the same year. Although he lasted much longer. It's been 55 years that she has been gone.

I agree that nobody forced the women to undress, pose, etc. But people -- all of us -- are pliable and easily manipulated. Advertising, merchandising, salesmanship, seduction, conning others are all examples of this. It's hard to consider the long-range consequences when someone is likely promising you fame, fortune, corrective surgery for the staple scars in your navel, etc.

Sad but true.
