I listen at work daily, and there's a lot of repeats; which is what I'm trying to avoid with satellite radio. But a rather annoying trend, at least to me, is the amount of "cover songs" played.
Within the last 2+ hours I noted:
See Me, Feel Me - Assembly of Dust
La Grange - Phish
All Along the Watchtower- Dave Matthews Band
Night They Drove Old Dixie Down - Black Crowes
Purple Rain - Phish
These are just the ones I noted, I'm sure there were more. Not really the "Jam On" I want to hear. Is there anything better on this thing called XM, or am I pissing into the wind?
Why so many cover songs...I find it hard to believe that there's so little original material out there that they need to play these cover tunes repeatedly.

I've had Sirius Jam on for years via my Dish Network. Since the merger with XM, things on the Sirius channel (now 6081 on my Dish Receiver) have changed a bit. However, they've always played cover tunes because they play a great deal of live music, which inevitably means cover tunes. Be patient, you'll hear plenty of originals as well. But I should add that they play way too much, in my opinion, Phish and Dave Matthews Band. Give it a week or two and decide.

JamOn is surprisingly repetitive but they often whip out unexpected tunes and even unexpected bands. I think I heard Weezer on there the other day.
