Thread: Lingo is playing Friday, December 18 in Atlanta

Hophead - 12/18/2009 at 02:33 PM

Hey now Atlanta peeps –

My new favorite band Lingo is playing tonight at the North River Tavern. [http://www.northrivertavern.com/] Take it from Hophead, these guys are the Real Deal! Catch them now while they are playing three sets in a small club -- you will love their music!

Earlier this year they opened for Tommy Talton and he loved ’em as much as I do. Now Lingo is his new favorite band, too! I heard that Tommy may show up to hear them tonight and sit-ins are always welcome.

If you’ve heard about Lingo (or even if you haven’t) this is your chance to see them in comfort. Remember, this is the band that was brought to us by Bill Ector’s angel. Come out tonight and you’ll be really glad you did.

That's right, I'm in. Have been looking forward to seeing Lingo for awhile, unfortunately other times haven't worked out, but I'm sure tonight will be a big time and make up for it.

Had a real good time last night at the Tavern w/ some good friends and Lingo. Was real impressed with the band and will definitely look forward to seeing them again. As Ron said they are the real deal, thanks for spreading the gospel. Enjoyed visiting with Joe Bell and Ron (Hophead), got a chance to meet Miss Terry...pleasure to meet you, and to meet Atlanta Barb again...nice to see you. Joe was kind enough to introduce me to Tommy Talton and I got to talk with him a bit which was cool. Sure wish you could find the old Cowboy albums on CD. Unfortunately we didn't get to see Tommy sit in though as he had to leave early. Heck of a fun night with a fine young band and a bunch of great friends.

Ryan
