{{{ Positive vibes & thoughts your way my friend}}}
You can do it!! Keep it going!!

Best of luck to you. I used acupuncture to quit smoking. I had smoked for about 25 years, and I haven't smoked now for 17years! There's tea available also at health food stores called smokers tea that has something in it called lobelia root that helps with the cravings. Another thing you can do is to put money in a jar every day that represents what you would have spent on smokes each day. Keep it in a prominent place in your house so that you see it quite a bit.

How bad do you want it?

sonnystang - 7/26/2009 at 05:08 PM

yeah...you gotta want to...
reminded of how i quit in 1990, my (#4)exwife signed us up for a stop smoking clinic at the local Holiday Inn, it was cold and wet. I got a cold at work and didn't feel like going. Give her the due she is owed, she wasn't much for nagging but when i didn't go, jeez, i didn't think i would her the end of it! We had just got a Buick Grand National and she was scared to drive it in the rain but she wasn't going to drive my truck either! She went and it was on! She would not let up! So i told myself, SELF we are going to quit smoking. Yup i did and four months later she asked me for a light for her cigarette!

So long story short, now you have to quit because we know you want to and you will be getting those vibes saying I DON"T WANT TO..........Good Luck...

Whenever I go through the I'm quitting smoking exercise, I notice that I am the only human being on the face of the earth that has any common sense at all.

I quit about 15 yeras ago. I carried a harmonica with me. Everytime I had the urge, I'd pull out the harp and have a go at it. It solved a couple of issues for me. First of all it was an oral fixation. After all, it is the same basic actions taking place, inhaling and exhaling through a harp instead of a smoke. It also would get me a little light headed from not breathing properly, similar to the affects of the nicotine. Think of it as a minor case of hyperventilation.

All methods aside, you really have to want to quit. The deciding factor for me was, coughing up lung gunk every morning disgusting me.
