Thread: Please keep Frankie in your prayers !

Mulehead1 - 9/25/2008 at 10:47 AM

Frankie is in need of a liver transplant. As I write this he is in a hospital in Florida. There will be an area set up soon for donations to help with his medical costs. Frankie truly is one of the nicest guys in the world, and would do the same for anyone. Please keep him in your prayers through this very rough time he is going through. I will keep everyone as up to date as possible here as I feel this should stay in his thread for now. I will also post where donations are to go when it is established. If he were with us today, I would have left this up to Neil Grant "tattooneil". Kevin

Has anyone heard anything more on Frankie?

Mulehead1 - 10/3/2008 at 11:35 PM

Frankie was out of the hospital as of last Friday. I'm still waiting on word where donations can be sent.

FatherTime - 10/7/2008 at 01:02 PM

Just read a bulletin from the Allman Brother's MYSPACE about an account set up for donations. It was a repost from Danny saying that anyone can go to the Bank of America and donate to help with Frankie's medical bills under Benefit for Frankie. The account is set up in Bradenton but donations can be made from any Bank of America.
Seems Frankie's medical insurance is good but leaves his family paying $800 each month in co-pay, not to mention what the transplant will cost. Every little bit helps and I could not think of a nicer family to help!
PEACE,

This was copied from the Guest Book.

Frankie Toler is home and he is eating like a hog, loving ever bite but is still going to need a liver transplant. We are waiting for doctor approvals to take him to gainsville to hopefully be put on the transplant list. He misses playing and talks about it all the time. Lord willing he will be behind a set of drums again one day. Hopefully by the end of this week we will know the date and venue of the benefit. Right now hopefully Sarasota.

If you are interested in sending a donation to help Frankie with his medical expenses you can do so now.

You can walk in any "Bank of America" and make a donation in the name of , "Benefit for Frankie." Located in Bradenton Florida, Bayshore branch. Here is the number and the address if you have any problems.

Just an update on the Frankie Toler Fund....apparently the bank is needing more personal information from the family and so we have ran into a snag but it won't be long that it will be up and running. They also said something about the name having to be changed so we will find out all the details Monday or Tuesday and get back to you all shortly. Frankie was a little better Friday. He was back in the hospital in the middle of last week and got out Friday and they drained alot of fluid off him so he is alittle better. I believe they think the infection is gone so he may get to goto gainsville this next week, we will see.

Please keep Frankie, Danny and their families in your prayers, they sure do need it!

Danny has spent alot of time on this to get this going and the bank ask for so much stuff it makes you crazy, but understood.

Frankie is really weak and didn't sound so hot yesterday and today but had a great doctor's appt today. Hopefully they have finally found a doctor to help him and get him a liver. Sp please keep praying for this wonderful human being. Frankie and Danny are such great people and really have love for the living creatures of any kind. I pray that God's will, will be done no matter what the outcome. I also pray God heals his body. He really is a great person with a heart of gold and I wish I could change it but we can't.

Please keep Frankie, Danny and their families in your prayers as this is going to be a tough journey no matter which way it goes. Thank you all for everything.

Visited with Frankie yesterday at home, today he is back in the hospital again. He really needs that liver, yesterday would be good. I love the post about Neil taking the reins on this. I will take my laptop to the hospital Wednesday and show him all the good wishes. He is extrememy weak and has to have these things held up for him so I'll do my best. He tires after about a minute. Prayers are so needed and welcomed. The Frankie Toler Medical and Assistance Fund at Bank of America is all set up. Yes you can go to any BOA. He is very very ill, so send your thought, notes and prayers, and I'll relay to keep his fighting spirit up which is starting to get tough to do some days. Thanks to everyone.

Hilarie

FatherTime - 10/21/2008 at 10:20 AM

Thanks Hilarie,
So glad you are able to be with Frankie... wish we were there to help. Be sure to give him a big hug for us and let him know we LOVE him! If you want to get a smile today let him know the snow is coming up here Wednesday and I have hidden all the beer in the barn. Tell him Mary can still get up there now but may have a little trouble when the snow starts. He'll understand.
Peace & Love Always,
Larry & Mary

Make sure you tell Frankie this is Kevin from the Butler County Blues Band. We had some great times in Oxford Ohio in the 70's.

hilarieandthefamily - 10/30/2008 at 11:02 PM

If all goes well, Frankie could possibly get a liver mid December. It's not a given as a lot is involved but that is what we shall pray for. Talk to him everyday, and took him to Tampa this past Monday to meet the liver transplant MD. He just needs to fight a little longer and a little harder, I keep telling him your looking at only 6 weeks you can do this. So if you all will, strong prayers please.
Oh, the benefit will be Jan 21 or 23, what ever falls on a weekend and it will be in Bradenton, Fla. I will keep you all up to date as best I can. Hilarie

Mulehead1 - 10/31/2008 at 03:46 AM

Many here in Oh. are praying for Frankie, and pray that they find a match for him. It is great to hear that the surgeon is lined up. We love Frankie up here in his old stomping grounds, and tell him we said to hang tough. Maybe we can have a benefit up here at the same time since most of us won't be able to make it to Fla. I'll do all I can to help. Kevin

hilarieandthefamily - 11/4/2008 at 10:45 PM

Hi all, yes we did take Frankie to Tampa yesterday for his battery of tests to work him up for the liver. Just Dan and I went yesterday, Frankie was slow but walked from the house to the car. It was a GOD day as we didn't go for tests like we thought, about halfway through Frankie became very ill, and we had to wheel him down to the ER( emergency room), he is admitted and is now in ICU (Intensive Care Unit). Quite scary as we watched him go downhill before our eyes but Gods way of taking care of the situation because now he is in the hospital where he would need to be for the liver anyway. He would have died had this happened at home, so please believe God does work in, in this case, miraculous ways. Today, Danny, I and Marsha (Frankie's wife) went to see him and low and behold another very critical element that needed to take place to get the liver happened. Frankie is very ill, and we are praying that he will get a liver even sooner. So big big prayers, and if you can put anything in the fund it would be most appreciated. As mentioned in an earlier post the benefit will be at the end of January in Bradenton. Danny thanks all of you for the kind words thoughts and prayers for his brother. Thanks Kevin for keeping this on top. Hilarie

If anybody has questions, concerns or thoughts, just PM me and I'll pass it on to Danny, or to Frankie if you want to get a message to him.
