Thread: set lists

i've seen mentioned that there was a heavy reliance on set lists back in the 90's... i was just wondering if anyone knew if the band back with duane and berry were as reliant on a set list...for some reason i can't picture duane as one for such a structurre

Yeah, they were. Basically back then, the band would play one setlist for the entire tour, with songs like Dreams and Stormy Monday played every couple of shows.

I think a lot of it had to do with how young the band was. They didn't have an awful lot of material.

They were also really trying to explore the tunes that they currently played as opposed to always introducing new material.
