Thread: Using Traders Little Helper to decode Flac to Wav Test

Here's a quick guide showing how to use TLH. It's an old version of TLH on my old Win XP box.
It might be different on Vista, or Win7, but, hopefully it'll get you decoding Flac to Wav for whatever reason.

If the Flac files are in a Zip folder. you have to un-zip the folder first.
To un-zip, create a folder, drag the zip file in that folder, right click the zip file, choose "extract Here"

So now open Traders Little Helper.

Below is what TLH main interface looks like on my PC. Might be different on yours.
If your version has a group of tabs across the top, click on "Decode Audio File(s)"
I think the process is the same. You're going to DECODE the Flac files to Wav files, which are quite large.
So make sure you have enough space on your hard drive.

Click "Format"

Next click the "Add" button to find your Flac folder.
Pay attention to where your Wav files will be saved, so you don't have to hunt for them later.

So you clicked the "Add" button. Now you have to find your Flac folder.

Now that you found the Flac folder, select all the Flac files.

OK, so now all the Flac files should be in TLH. (below) Now choose a place on your hard drive to save them.
This is how I store the files, you can choose whichever way you like.

Below shows where you'll find the Wav files

When your ready, click the "Decode" button and go get a beer.
That's it.

Hope this helps.

Thanks DanB (4umad2) for fixing my test post so I could delete it.

Testing my sig. For some unknown reason, extra blank lines have appeared in my sig. Let's see if it's fixed now.

Ok. All seems good now.

Getting extra lines again... Let's see what happens if I take out all the lines.
