Smoke Dream is a group of Southwest Georgia musicians who have retired but recently agreed to do a concert every year as a free community event to support the local area arts industry and to bring focus to area musicians. They are the charter inductees of the newly organized SoWeGa Music Hall of Fame and the bass player has everyone in agreement that when on stage, "we have to do an Allman Brothers song because not doing one is AGAINST THE LAW".

Levon Helm, Robbie Robertson, Rick Danko, Garth Hudson and Richard Manuel started off backing Ronnie Hawkins, then Bob Dylan. Crossing pathes with the Allman Bros. on many occasions, The Band was also one of the premiere bands of the same era. I believe this is the official website; it is nonetheless the most comprehensive Band website I have found.
