POSTPONED
LAID BACK FESTIVAL
A CELEBRATION MUSIC, LOCAL FOOD & BREWS

NEW SHOW DATE – SATURDAY, OCTOBER 29, 2016

MOTHER’S FINEST, ANOTHER GEORGIA FAVORITE
ADDED TO THE FESTIVAL!

Last Thursday, Dusty Hill of ZZ Top, was injured prior to an event in Texas. Dusty has subsequently undergone treatment for his fractured shoulder forcing the band to postpone many of their spring concert dates; including the May 7th Laid Back Festival performance in Atlanta.

Dusty Hill, offered this comment, "My physicians told me that this type of injury is usually associated with contact sports. I'm not sure bass-playing qualifies as such but they're doing their best to get me back in the game as soon as possible. Thanks to everyone for all the good wishes we've received. We're determined to enjoy a speedy recovery and to see you soon!"

Live from A&R Studios - August 26, 1971 Remix Available for Pre-Order Now!

Posted on Sunday, March 20, 2016 - 06:33 AM

On August 26, 1971, the Allman Brothers Band set up in A&R Studios in NYC and played a scorching 67 minute set to a studio audience - and it was broadcast live over WPLJ-FM.

It was a classic 1971-era set - Statesboro Blues, Trouble No More, Don't Keep Me Wonderin', Done Somebody Wrong, One Way Out, In Memory of Elizabeth Reed, Stormy Monday, Soul Serenade -> You Don't Love Me, and closing with Hot 'Lanta.

Bootleg recordings of the FM broadcast have been around for years, but this new release has been re-mixed from the original multi-track studio recording and the sound is stunning.

It comes out in April, and is available for pre-order now. Enjoy!

Gregg Allman on NC HB2 Law and April 13 NC Show

Posted on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 - 04:05 PM
For over 45 years, I’ve been fortunate to play music all around this country and the world. I’ve been honored to know and be friends with many different people from all walks of life. Although we, as a nation, have made progress in many areas, it’s sad and infuriating that some, in 2016, are still working so hard to take the rights away from our brothers and sisters, as in the cases of “bathroom laws” recently passed in North Carolina (HB2 – Public Facilities Privacy and Security Act) and Mississippi (‘Religious Liberty’ bill 1523), discriminating against the LGBT community.

I know that North Carolina is a state full of good folks and loyal fans, many of whom are angry about and feel misrepresented by this action. My band and I will continue to play our show as scheduled there tomorrow, April 13, and hope that our music unites people in this challenging time. We stand in solidarity with the LGBT community urging Gov. McCrory to listen to the people and reverse this wrong.
