Other Information:
The "Electric Zoo" in St. Petersburg, Florida fall of 1969, I looked through your files and couldn't find it listed.

The ABB opened for Cat Mother and the All Night News Boys, who were touring for the top 40 hit "Good Old Time Rock and Roll", which ironically was produced by Jimi Hendrix.

I can still remember, at the end of the show Gregg said, "were the Allman Brothers from Sarasota, next month we have our first album coming out, we hope you buy it". So this show should be the month before the album's release, also, the Cat Mother album was released in July 1969.

I was in my second year of college at St. Pete J.C. Along with a group of friends we had gone to the Bayfront Center in St. Pete to see George Carlin but his 8:00 show was sold out, they told us to come back at 10:00. We decided instead to go to the Electric Zoo and check it out, I'm glad we did. I remember walking in and they were already playing, seeing and hearing the double set of drums and this guy with long blond hair on a red guitar playing like no one else. When Cat Mother came out we couldn't wait until they played their hit and got off the stage, we wanted the opening band to come back out and play. Finally, we started a little chant, much to the dismay of Cat Mother. After about an hour Cat Mother finished and the Allman Bros came back out and played until closing time, a great show that I never forgot!

9/6/69 date validated against ABB Contracts Database.
