The Allman Brothers, Poco, Seals & Croft, Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, Curtis Mayfield, Blood, Sweat & Tears, Alice Cooper. . . the performers at the two concerts at Hofstra Playhouse were a surprising mixture. But the lineup was designed to appeal to a wide audience. Don Kirschner, creator of the Monkees and the Archies, produced the show as a pilot for a possible television series that the American Broadcasting Company (ABC) was considering for Friday nights at 11:30. Over 1,100 music lovers who’d learned about the free concerts through handbills distributed on Hofstra’s campus showed up. Although the concerts were late in starting, the audience remained surprisingly calm. ABC broadcast the concerts on November 24 and December 8. The Allman Brothers are shown here performing a set of their greatest hits at the November 2, 1972 concert.

Yeah, this was shown on ABC's "In Concert"..Whippin' Post and Ramblin' Man..circulate widely on VHS and DVD.. "One Way Out" was shown once on the PBS TV show "Great performances"...I have it on VHS lying around somewhere, pretty rare.
